Deposits of moonstone occur in Armenia (mainly from Lake Sevan), Australia, the Austrian Alps, Mexico, Madagascar, Myanmar, Norway, Poland, India, Sri Lanka and the United States. This particular stone is from Madagascar.

To clean, simply use warm (not hot) water with a mild soap to cleanse. You can even use a soft bristled brush if necessary. You can also charge these stones inthe moonlight or sunlight.
